Today the clouds of Paris sky,
jewelry of Europe,
France,
ashes, at nightfall.

Because the flames reached
the Notre Dame Cathedral.
And angels sang hymns,
while Our Lady was crying.

Because it was not just
in the historic building
that the fire spread.
The Catholic soul of France suffered.

And the centuries-old monuments,
the heavy doors,
worked by hand,
the metals, crafts, felt the heat of the fire.

Today the world has stopped
to look by France.
may the tears of Our Lady,
reach Paris, in your holy Temple.

Let it be just an incident,
isolated.
That the times, turbulent and sad,
finish, soon.

In the Paris sky,
I saw gray, thick clouds.
But I heard the chorus of the angels,
they singing praises, in front of the Cathedral.


As long as there are angels,
to watch over Notre Dame,
the eyes of Our Lady,
they shall be upon them, and their mantle, upon the world.

Hoje as nuvens do céu de Paris,
joia da Europa,
França,
anoiteceram cinzas.

Porque as labaredas açoitaram
a Catedral Notre Dame.
E anjos cantaram hinos,
enquanto Nossa Senhora chorava.

Porque, não foi apenas
no prédio histórico
que o fogo se alastrou.
A alma católica da França, sofreu.

E os monumentos centenários,
as portas pesadas,
trabalhadas à mão,
as artesanais ferragens, sentiram o ardor do fogo.

Hoje o mundo parou
para olhar pela França.
Que as lágrimas de Nossa Senhora
alcancem Paris, no seu santo Templo.

Que este seja um incidente 
isolado.
Que os tempos, turbulentos  e tristes,
passem logo.

No céu de Paris,
vi nuvens cinzas, espessas.
Mas, ouvi o coro dos anjos,
que cantavam louvores, em frente da Catedral.

Enquanto houver anjos,
a velar por Notre Dame,
os olhos de Nossa Senhora
estarão sobre eles, e seu manto, sobre o mundo.
