Deusa da tempestade

a senhora do vento,

raio, relâmpago

e trovão...

Dama dos céus

a rainha da justiça,

a sua espada de raio

combate a injustiça...

Iansã é guerreira

que aplica a lei divina,

no campo de batalha

ela é destemida...

Senhora do tempo,

chuva, raio e ventania,

ela cavalga nas nuvens

e nas asas do vento...

Goddess of the storm,

the lady of the wind,

radius, lightning

and thunder...

Lady of heavens

the queen of justice,

its sword of radius

fighting injustice...

Iansã is warlike

executes the divine law,

in the battlefield

she is dauntless...

Lady of the time

rain, ray and gale,

she rides in the clouds

and on the wings of wind…
